Charlene Brown is a Winnipeg based multi-media artist and has been working with clay since 1995. She has recently expanded her home studio to offer group classes. Clayhaus Studio is a comfortable unique space where imagination and knowledge meet.
Charlene holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. She has taught art classes through Clayhaus Studio, the Winnipeg Art Gallery and many schools throughout Manitoba. Presently she is teaching at Red River Community College. Her work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally. She enjoys creating sculptural works, many of which have found their way into private collections.
Her sculpture is described as fluid and organic and is influenced by the simple beauty of nature. Through the use of symbolism she tries to capture the human condition in various stages of life. To view samples of her work you can visit the gallery section.
