Charlene Brown is a Winnipeg based multi-media artist, instructor and avid gardener. Clayhaus Studio is home to her art practice and where she teaches art classes.
She has many years of teaching art all throughout Manitoba including the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Artist in the Schools residency, Clayhaus Studio and many community collaborations. Presently she is teaching at Red River Community College. Her work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally. She enjoys creating sculptural works, many of which have found their way into private collections.
Her sculpture is described as fluid and organic and is influenced by the simple beauty of nature. Through the use of symbolism she tries to capture the human condition in various stages of life. To view samples of her work you can visit the gallery section.
